Last updated: 27 August 2026

1. Who we are

This website, pjacs.co.uk, is operated by PJA Carpentry Services, Gloucester (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

For anything relating to your personal data, contact us at paul@pjacs.co.uk.

2. What we collect, and why

Contact form enquiries

When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address and message, plus your phone number, town and the type of work you’re interested in if you choose to provide them. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations and, if you become a client, deliver our services.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to an enquiry you have made), and performance of a contract where your enquiry leads to work being carried out.

Website analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device type). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. IP addresses are anonymised. Our lawful basis is consent, which you give or refuse via the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time via “Cookie Settings” in the footer.

3. Who processes your data

  • FormSubmit: relays your contact form submission to our email inbox. The submission passes through their servers solely for delivery.
  • Google Ireland Ltd: provides Google Analytics (only if you consent) and serves the fonts used on this site (Google Fonts), which involves your browser requesting font files from Google’s servers.
  • Our email and hosting providers: store enquiries and serve this website.

We do not sell your data, share it with marketers, or use it for automated decision-making. Ever.

4. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to work: deleted within 12 months.
  • Client records (quotes, correspondence, invoices): kept for 6 years, as required for tax and warranty purposes.
  • Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics for a maximum of 14 months.

5. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to:

  • access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”);
  • restrict or object to our processing of your data;
  • data portability, where processing is based on consent or contract;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email paul@pjacs.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

6. Cookies

See our separate Cookie Policy for full details of the cookies and similar technologies used on this site.

7. Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are delivered directly to our email inbox and are accessible only to Paul. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any personal data we hold.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
